WHY???

We all have questions, from the time we started thinking and talking. A small kid has a question. A young person has a question, and an old man has a question. Regardless of our age, status and wealth, we all have a question. Questions are in fact a good practice for it seeks clarification. There is difference between question and doubt as a Christian; because a doubt may shake your faith whereas the question clarifies and enables growth in faith.

Today I am here with this short piece about Why God would allow this to happen if He really loves the world as said in John 3:16. Well, to make myself clear, I may not have the perfect answer to this question but I want to share few things that has kept me growing in faith. The situation seems to be getting harder and harder for the world to sustain. The state of mind is worsening day by day, the health of many people is deteriorating each day, and the number of deaths is rising every day. It seems the condition is out of control. Why would such a loving God allow His people to go through this hard time? It is really saddening to see a friend quarantined, it is disheartening to know a daughter kept in isolation and very painful to know that a family has lost its member. Some may be crying out where our God is?

Let us go through the Bible, “Why should the Gentiles say, ‘Where is their God?’ But out God is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases.” Psalms 115:2-3. My dear friends, human has gone so far that they have forgotten that there exist an uncreated being, who is self-existing, who made us, so called God. Harrari in one of his books, Homo Deus says that immortality humans are trying to upgrade themselves into gods; god of biological engineering, cyborg engineering and engineering of non-organic being. They say they will one day make living possible even more then hundreds of years. They already are capable of transplanting hearts, operating the organ and even to the extent that they can do surgery of a person at some other places. It is their foremost strive to make people live long or make living better. They say nothing is impossible with man.

The second strive of the world is Happiness. Everyone runs after happiness, all wants to have a pleasure, be joyful and enjoy rest of the time they have. Even Bible talks about being joyful in the book of Philippines, but the world has gone so far that they are blinded to see the boundary set by God. Parents these days says to their children, “Do whatever you want, but you be happy always.” And to acquire a little bit of happiness and satisfaction, they go to the extent of breaking the laws, taking revenge, and trying smoking and drinking. These days, the robbery has no limits, murders are everywhere, rape has become a normal issue, theft has become a job and lying, a business.

What do we do now? How can we bring back the people who has lost their way? Can we take them out from the trap of endless desires and evil works? Scripture says we are a pot, and our Father in heaven is a potter. He molds us and makes us a pot He wants. “Oh house of Israel” says the scripture, “can I not do with you as this potter does? Declares the Lord, like clay in the hands of the potter, so are you in my hand, oh house of Israel. If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdoms to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if the nation I warned repents of its evil. Then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.”

We still have a time to go back and strive for righteousness, salvation and the truth. To whatever extend of success we may achieve, we must not forget our Creator. God wants us to come to Him for the strength, for hopes and for life. He wants to show us that He is the real answer to the question the whole world is raising. It’s time for change, instead of nothing is impossible with man, we must say everything is possible with God. We must suppress down our pride and humble ourselves before God. We need to bring back the human nature, that God implanted in us when He first created us.

He hears us and I am sure, He will answer the prayers of the world, and prove that He is the Living God. So, back to the question, why would God allow us to face such situations? There is an old saying, “It’s the test of fire that makes fine steel.” And “The toughest steel is forged in the hottest fire.” God wants to make us tough, strong and bold in Him. We are just a clay in the hands of the Potter, He molds us and makes us, repairs us and prepares us for we know how He bends and not break. When the human effort comes to an end, they will show above, hope for miracle to happen, and pray deep inside their heart. That is the time when God will intervene to save the people of this world. People will then believe that there exist so called God, and this will bring glory to Him and the whole world will be restored in His Name. The struggle we are going now will be a small piece compared to the glory yet to receive.

God bless with you

Healthy Family

Hello everyone,
I know everything is not going well, as you have been thinking. As I entered my office a couple of days ago, the whole group was discussing and planning to prevent COVID-19. I thought its just like other disease that comes and goes. We heard few numbers of people that was affected by the disease, but suddenly the number became in hundreds. The plan being made came into an existence, hand washing point at different areas. I thought this was okay because washing hand prevents lot of disease. Yet, my focus was soon dragged to a camp known as flu clinic that was built at night for urgent checkups. This was bit alarming. Schools were closed in three dzongkhags but within no time all schools and colleges were closed and student were sent home. It was no more a joke; it became something to be worried about.

It took away my breathe when I saw our staff working on the construction of isolation rooms for the people who will be infected, meaning they have assumed that Bhutanese will get infected by the disease and will be kept in that isolation room. I heard them discussing that each room will accommodate certain number of infected (not even suspect) people, they will use that toilet and they will not go out from this area that was surrounded by nets. I heard our head saying, every work must be done perfectly, because we will not be allowed once the infected people are kept inside. I took a long breath and thought what will happen if this thing becomes a reality and suddenly the border area gets sealed.

Each day updates the increasing number of people being infected by the disease, Italy lost such a huge number of its citizen, some doctors became a victim of it, some families must have been demolished completely, some offices are running out of staff and the countries are losing great leaders and productive citizens. The country is losing its economy, and all the resources may one day run out. People are asked to stay home; students are sent home with the hope of online studies and city looks deserted. Everyone is asking what next?

Well, I do not have the answer as well, but I can tell you what we can do now. Let us go back to the story of Jesus when He was talking to the Samaritan women. Jesus told her in the Jacob’s well, “But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23. It says the time is now. I heard some saying that the best time was before COVID-19 entered the state, and some may think after this will be the best time to start. NO, says the Bible, the time is now; for prayers, reading scripture, praise and worship to be made unto the Lord. In spirit and in truth means regardless of where you are, or whom you are with, and irrespective of what you have, rise up in spirit and start singing praises to Him, offering prayers and reading scripture.

I really enjoy reading what Habakkuk says, “Figs might not grow on the fig trees, and grapes might not grow on the vines. Olives might not grow on the olive trees, and food might not grow in the fields. There might not be any sheep in the pens or cattle in the barns. But I will still be glad in the LORD and rejoice in God my savior. The Lord GOD gives me my strength. He helps me run fast like a deer. He leads me safely on the mountains.” Habakkuk 3:17,18,19. I find our people setting conditions to do something good, but as he says, rejoice regardless of what you may be going through. We are not to make excuses for our failure but to work hard in our own field, we are not to blame anyone but make good use of the time we have, and we are not to complain as well but to thank for the live we are still living. Habakkuk, although he may not become a successful man if everything runs out, declares here that he will by no means make it an excuse instead he would still rejoice in the Lord.

Bible says, “But he who is joined with all the living has hope, for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4 So, let’s stop complaining for what we could not get, lets not argue for the opportunities we missed, lets not grumble over the people but let us spent time in prayers, let us build up our family relationship, let us help parents with the kitchen works, lets learn something new this time. Dear students, the future leaders, future citizens we must learn to turn the problems into opportunities. Let us look at things with positive thoughts and make it something precious. Sleeping will not solve the problem neither will social media but your time towards your goal will help you become who you wanted to be.

God is restoring the entire world, even your families so let’s not waste this beautiful moment with them.

Thank You

A Cracked Pot

Hello Everyone, today I would like to present you an old Indian Story with a very good moral. Before that, have you ever felt imperfect, incompetent and not capable of doing something great? Don't worry to say 'No' because we must learn to accept the fact that we all have a weakness.
The very purpose of weakness is not to put our moral down but God wants us to realize the greatness of Him by making us complete by His grace. When we feel low, weak and disappointed, God gets to show us how great He is. Brokenness in our life has a purpose because someone rightly said, without breaking, there is no making. God can heal your brokenness. The story goes like this;
A water bearer in India had two large pots, each hung on each end of a pole which he carried across his neck. One of the pots had a crack in it, and while the other pot was perfect and always delivered a full portion of water at the end of the long walk from the stream to the master’s house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years, this went on daily, with the bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of water in his master’s house. Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its accomplishments, perfect to the end for which it was made. But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own imperfection and miserable that it was able to accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be a bitter failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the stream. “I am ashamed of myself, and I want to apologize to you”.  The bearer asked, “Why? What are you ashamed of?”  The Pot replied, “For these past two years I am able to deliver only half of my load because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your master’s house. Because of my flaws, you don’t get full value for your efforts”.
The water bearer felt sorry for the old cracked pot, and in his compassion, he said, “As we return to the master’s house, I want you to notice the beautiful flowers along the path.”  As they went up the hill, the old cracked pot took notice of the sun warming the beautiful wild flowers on the side of the path, and this cheered it somewhat.  But at the end of the trail, it still felt bad because it had leaked out half its load, and so again it apologized to the bearer for its failure.
The bearer said to the pot, “Did you notice that there were flowers only on your side of your path, but not on the other pot’s side? That’s because I have always known about your flaw, and I took advantage of it. I planted flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back from the stream, you’ve watered them. For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful flowers to decorate my master’s table. Without you being just the way you are, he would not have this beauty to grace his house.”
Moral of the story:

No matter to what extend you are broken, God wants to join you back to the most valuable pot that serves the Mighty King. A cracked Chinese cup values more than unbroken ones because once the Chinese cup breaks, they are joined together by gold because of which it becomes more expensive.
If you ever felt broken because of your family status, financial disaster, or deceiving friends, you are blessed for God waits for broken to heal them.

Each of us has our own unique flaws.  We’re all cracked pots.  In this world, nothing goes to waste.  You may think like the cracked pot that you are inefficient or useless in certain areas of your life, but somehow these flaws can turn out to be a blessing in disguise.”

"He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds." Psalms 147:3

Story of a Boy and a Star Fish

Hello Everyone,
Hope you are enjoying my posts, please leave comments and feedback for further improvement.
Today I am here to share you about making a difference through a small thing. Someone has said that we try to change the world but we do not want to change ourselves. Let me share you the story written by Loren Eisley.
One day a man was walking along the beach, when he noticed a boy hurriedly picking up and gently throwing things into the ocean.
Approaching the boy, he asked, “Young man, what are you doing?”
The boy replied, “Throwing starfish back into the ocean. The surf is up and the tide is going out. If I don’t throw them back, they’ll die.”
The man laughed to himself and said, “Don’t you realize there are miles and miles of beach and hundreds of starfish? You can’t make any difference!”
After listening politely, the boy bent down, picked up another starfish, and threw it into the surf. Then, smiling at the man, he said …
“I made a difference to that one.”

Moral of the Story:

If everything you did had to have a huge, immediate impact before you gave it a little of your time, then you would end up doing very little with your life. And sometimes, the little things we do can add up and turn into big things – they make ripples that spread further than we can see.
Just a glass of water may cost you none, but remember you are giving a life to those who are thirsty. A cup of water stated in Matthew 10:42 is a simple steps to make a difference.
"So the next time you get chance to make a small difference, don’t think of the big picture and just do it – after all, it might not make a difference to you, but to somebody else, it might." Sat Sindhar

A Story of a Pencil

Hello!
I am here with one of my best story, through which I draw my inspiration and like sharing about. Its about a mysterious, enormously influential tool, a humble Pencil.
Before that, have you ever wondered when and how pencil came into an existence? Lets check it out.

The modern pencil was invented in 1795 by Nicholas-Jacques Conte, a scientist serving in the army of Napoleon Bonaparte. Pencil is an older word, derived from the Latin ‘pencillus’, meaning ‘little tail’, to describe the small ink brushes used for writing in the Middle Ages.

Awesome right? In fact it was discovered in Europe. The pencil then took a great journey from invention to the emerging of manufacturing units in 1832. I am not sure of when the story might have taken place but I suspect in between the above time.

The stories goes like this,
There was a Pencil Maker who took the pencil aside, before putting him into the box.
“There are 5 things you need to know,” he told the pencil, “Before I send you out into the world. Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best pencil you can be.”
  • “One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in Someone’s hand.”
“Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, but you will need it to become a better pencil.”
  • “Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.”
“Four: The most important part of you will always be what’s inside.”
  • “And Five: On every surface you are used on, you must leave your mark. No matter what the condition, you must continue to write.”
The pencil understood and promised to remember, and went into the box with purpose in its heart.

Moral of the Story:

Now replacing the place of the pencil with you.  Always remember them and never forget, and you will become the best person you can be.

One: You will be able to do many great things, but only if you allow yourself to be held in God’s hand. And allow other human beings to access you for the many gifts you possess.

Two: You will experience a painful sharpening from time to time, by going through various problems in life, but you’ll need it to become a stronger person.

Three: You will be able to correct any mistakes you might make.

Four: The most important part of you will always be what’s on the inside. And

Five: On every surface you walk through, you must leave your mark. No matter what the situation, you must continue to do your duties.

Hay friends,

We all have a purpose (Jeremiah 29:11), we are to leave marks of a great works, we are not here by chance of by means of luck, we are not an accident but we are wonderfully and fearfully made (Psalms 139:14) in the image of God. We also have a Creator who has sent us to this world with a purpose. Let us make a difference.

God bless you
